The former quirky David Barton Gym at 4 Astor Place will become an Elite New York Sports Club — while retaining many of the chic, nightlife aesthetics that made it a NoHo and East Village neighborhood destination, The Post has learned.

The fitness company, now owned by Town Sports International, was represented in the new deal by Chris Mongeluzo of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. The Newmark Holdings ownership was repped by NGKF Retail colleague Ross Kaplan.

The 30,000-square-foot space on the ground, second and two lower levels will be fitted out with state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and class offerings.

The Elite club membership also offers a higher level of service, amenities, programming and partnerships with access to TSI’s nearly 150 clubs.
