Office furniture designer Knoll has renewed and expanded to 60,500 square feet at 1330 Avenue of the Americas between West 53rd and 54th streets.

The company’s showroom will remain on the second and third floors but also expand into a portion of the fourth floor. The latter floor was being used for its executive offices, which will now relocate to portions of the sixth and 11th floors, totaling 12,500 square feet.

The firm is known for its office systems, seating, storage, desks and accessories for the office, home and higher education settings. Knoll will build out its own space — likely with its own furniture.

Andrew Ackerman and Alexandra Budd represented RXR in-house in the direct deal. “They have a fantastic showroom,” noted Ackerman.

Current building asking rents range from the mid-$80s to mid-$90s per square foot. Availabilities include roughly 70,000 square feet of high-floor pre-builts.
