A downtown school is expanding to another location. This fall, the Quad Preparatory School will open a program for its middle and high school students at 19 Cedar St.

The school will have a “building within a building” at 80 Maiden Lane and be isolated from the office tenants with its own lobby, elevator and stairway at Cedar Street along with the fifth and sixth floors.

It‘s now housed in 39,000 square feet at 25 Pine St.

Marc Shapses, Roi Shleifer and Seth Wasserman of Savills represented Quad Prep in the new deal. The building ownership of AM Property Holding and Normandy Real Estate Partners was represented by a CBRE team of Paul Amrich, Neil King, Rob Wizenberg and Michael Rizzo. Asking rents range from $55 to $62 per square foot.

The school was founded by psychiatrist Kimberly Busi in 2014 to focus on gifted students with learning disabilities.

This year, it nearly doubled in size to 113 students in grades K-12 and found the new space, right around the corner, just in time for the upcoming academic year.
