Missoni won’t move to a portion of the former Tom Ford store as we predicted — but instead will join it at 680 Madison Ave.
The Italian fashion firm known for its colorful knits has leased 3,500 square feet on the ground floor with another 300 feet in a lower level in a direct deal with retail condo owner Joseph Sitt of Thor Equities.
Alexandra Frangos and Sam Polese of Thor Equities Group represented Thor in-house.
Missoni will move from 1009 Madison on the southeast corner of East 78th Street.
The asking rent was $1,200 a square foot. Along with Tom Ford, other retailers on the Madison Ave. western blockfront between 61st and 62nd streets are Brioni, Ralph & Russo and Morgenthal Frederics.
