The Oculus is finally ready to party.

With a grand opening of the mall now planned for mid-August, retail leaseholder Westfield has begun marketing the $1.4 billion elliptical World Trade Center shopping hall for events.

A teaser e-mail circulated by BizBash on Wednesday touted the Oculus floor as a 20,000-square-foot indoor venue and trumpeted the future Oculus Plaza as a 6,000-square-foot outdoor venue that will be available in 2017.

The Post reported in May 2013 that the giant mausoleum-like space was being eyed as an event venue.

But Westfield is trying to keep the “private” out and the “public” in, explaining that the company’s “vision” is to seek consumer-focused events such as art displays and corporate promotions that can engage the public, rather than have private weddings and bar mitzvahs.

Costs would depend on the event, technical requirements and number of people.

No matter what, the public will still be trekking through portions of the Oculus on their way to the PATH platforms.

A Westfield spokesman declined to discuss costs but did say that all proposals would be considered.
