The 19-story 183 Madison Ave. has been sold to APF Properties for $222.5 million.

The deal that closed late last month was marketed by CBRE’s Darcy Stacom, Ryan Spector and Bill Shanahan on behalf of Tishman Speyer and Cogswell Lee Development, which purchased it in 2014 for $185 million.

The 272,000-square-foot building on the southeast corner of East 34th Street has tenants that include fashion company Dreamwear, the Spector Group architects and the Domus Design Center in the retail space.

Similar boutique properties have become a hot commodity. Last year, the CBRE team sold 163 Varick St. to APF for $64.9 million and is repositioning to offices. The group also marketed the diamond district building at 1200 Sixth Ave. on the northeast corner of W. 47th St., which was sold to TA Associates for $43.1 million. Earlier this year, the CBRE team sold 9 E. 40th St. to Eretz Group for $70.25 million.

The sales contract was first reported by the Real Deal in May.
