Mitsui Sumitomo Marine Management (USA) has leased an additional Big Apple location at 527 Madison Ave., between E. 53rd and 54th streets.

The US division of a Japanese conglomerate will occupy the entire 18th floor of 7,500 square feet, which is a new pre-built space.

MSMM will retain its current 16,200 square feet on the 20th floor of 560 Lexington Ave., where it manages its two insurance companies, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company of America and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance USA.

The tower at 527 Madison is owned by the unrelated Mitsui Fudosan America and was represented in-house by Keith Purcell, along with Jim Frederick of Cushman & Wakefield, who both worked directly with the tenant.

The building has one full floor, pre-built of 12,900 square feet on the fourth floor available with an asking rent of $68 per square foot, while a 10th floor terrace is open to all tenants. A MdeAS-designed lobby features a rotating gallery displaying local artists.
