The new 10-story office building at 860 Washington St. being developed by Property Group Partners and Romanoff Equities next to the High Line in the Meatpacking District is starting tenant build-outs.

Tesla will have part of the ground floor retail while Delos Living is already working on its fourth- and fifth-floor installations. PGP President Jeffrey Sussman refused to identify the seventh-, eighth- and ninth-floor tenant, which is known to be Alibaba. Six is split between two financial firms.

Still available is the second floor, which at High Line height, was designed for a retailer but can become an office floor, plus the third and 10th floors, both of which have underfloor HVAC systems. The asking rent will be “over” $175 per square foot.

“The new look of offices is not restricted to millennials,” Sussman said, admitting what I’ve previously written: A few financial firms are in negotiations to move in from Midtown.
