The brand new curved-glass Two Gotham Center at Queens Plaza that will be housing the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene is hitting the sales block.

Tishman Speyer Properties has tapped the CB Richard Ellis team of Darcy Stacom and Bill Shanahan to market the 662,000 square-foot building, which cost $316 million to construct, according to a report.

With a 20-year lease in place by the agency, which recently began moving in 4,000 employees, the building should attract institutional buyers that would be simply making an investment and getting a return, according to Real Estate Finance & Investment, which reported on the move yesterday.

Two Gotham Center is the first building in the proposed 3.5 million-foot Long Island City development. Architects Moed De Armas & Shannon designed the project, which is Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design-certified with LEED silver interiors. It will also have 8,000 square feet of retail and 160 parking spaces.

A spokeswoman for TSP declined to comment and the brokers did not return calls for comment before press time.
