Luxury menswear retailer Canali has finally solidified its plans to open its first store in New York, signing a lease for 2,600 square feet downtown at 25 Broad St. earlier this week, The Post has learned.

The store will likely open sometime this summer across from Exchange Place and near the upcoming Hermés shop and Tiffany store currently under construction on Wall Street.

The Italian-based Canali had been negotiating since the end of last summer.

Canali’s plans to open a downtown shop come as a growing number of high-end fashion houses and luxury-goods retailers open stores near Wall Street.

The Post has learned that Gucci, Cartier, Prada, Barney’s, Bulgari, and Tod’s are among those prowling for space downtown.

Restaurants such as The Palm and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and supermarkets Trader Joe’s, Citarella, and Gristede’s are also eyeing space in the area.

Canali is known for its handmade suits and accessories that compete with the likes of Armani and Brioni for customers around the world.

The asking rent was $200 a foot for the 10-year deal.
