A Wall Street office building could soon become a high-rise training center for firefighters.
The 25-story tower at 37 Wall St. could be ready to take on New York’s Bravest as early as this summer, sources said.
The Bank of New York would have to relocate to its own repaired headquarters at 101 Barclay St. Then the city needs to complete its purchase of the building from current owners, JP Morgan Chase.
FDNY brass recently toured the building, sources said.
“They are very interested in using it for training new firefighters how to fight fires in high-rises,” said the source. The city expects to tear down the building, along with several others, to make way for the next New York Stock Exchange building.
