A key downtown pedestrian link is expected to be open by the end of the month.
The South Bridge, which carried pedestrians across West Street from Liberty Street to One World Financial Center, is going to be reopened in the next two weeks, sources said. The bridge’s windows will be covered, however, to keep Ground Zero gawkers from clogging it. A pedestrian walkway is being constructed along the north side of Liberty Street.
