Paramount held up putting 900 Third Ave. on the sales market until a 17,346-square-foot lease for Handelsbanken to relocate its offices to the 17th floor was completed.

The 598,903-square-foot office building at 900 Third sits on the western blockfront between East 53rd and 54th streets. As Between the Bricks advised last week, the 36-story building is now being marketed by the Cushman & Wakefield team of Adam Spies and Douglas Harmon and is expected to fetch around $400 million.

The Stockholm-based bank was represented by a Newmark Knight Frank team of Brian Goldman, Robert Emden and David Emden. It will move from the nearby fourth floor of 875 Third Ave., a smile-shaped tower on the east blockfront between 53rd and 54th streets.

Paramount was repped by David Kleiner, Frank Doyle, Clark Finney and Harlan Webster of JLL and had an asking rent of $75 per square foot.
