German banks that leased the full 26th floor at One Vanderbilt are now trying to sublease the space before they even move in.

Back in 2017, DZ Bank and its affiliate, DVB Bank, the No. 2 bank in Germany, signed leases for the tower’s entire 26th floor, a combined 35,567 square feet, as The Post’s Steve Cuozzo first reported.

At that time, asking rents were $135 a square foot.

The space is now ready to be built out in preparation for the building’s opening in August 2020.

Lance Leighton and Evan Margolin of Savills are offering the floor on behalf of the bank.

The bank is currently reducing its worldwide head count by 500 people through synergies while still trying to attract top talent. No comments were forthcoming.
