RR Donnelley will move its NYC offices to 261 Madison Ave., which takes up the entire eastern blockfront between East 38th and 39th streets.
The global, Chicago-based multichannel marketing and communications firm has leased a newly constructed pre-built for its local office. The space covers the entire 14th floor of 14,025 square feet with an open floor plan, collaborative spaces, exposed ceilings and concrete floors.
RRD expects to move from 99 Park Ave. later this fall.
The CBRE team of Dan Knopf and Ben Fastenberg represented RRD, while another CBRE team consisting of Peter Turchin, Gregg Rothkin, Brett Shannon, Tim Freydberg and Jared London represented the Sapir Organization ownership in the 10-year deal. Sources said the asking rent was in the high-$60s per square foot.
The 28-story building has 416,000 square feet and includes a parking garage and the modern Japanese restaurant Zuma. Its largest tenant is WeWork, while new tenants include RoC Cosmetics, Allergan, GFT Group and Canon .
