The city streets turn white tomorrow as 3,700 US and Canadian sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen begin the city’s 29th Fleet Week activities.

On Thursday night, SL Green Realty CEO Marc Holliday and President Andrew Mathias will be honored at the 2017 Salute to Freedom gala along with Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly.

Holliday and Mathias will each receive the Intrepid Salute Award for their business and philanthropic efforts and support of service members.

Kelly, a four-star general of the US Marine Corps, will receive the Intrepid Freedom award for his 45 years of service.

The Intrepid itself was saved, and its museum was founded through the efforts of the late real estate icon Zachary Fisher and his wife, Elizabeth Fisher.

The parade of 17 ships starts at 8 a.m. Wednesday and includes the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge. The ships travel north to the George Washington Bridge before heading to their berths.

If you hear giant booms, it’s the Kearsarge’s seven-gun salute to go off as it travels past Fort Hamilton army base, which will return a 15-gun salute.

The newest ship, USNS Yuma, is a Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport.

Many of the ships will be open to the public and will dock on the West Side near the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, where additional events are scheduled.
