The first new deal at 28 Liberty St. was finally signed in late July.

Ironshore Holdings US, now nearby in roughly 54,000 square feet on the seventh and eighth floors at One State Street, will relocate to 101,958 feet at 28 Liberty, the former One Chase Manhattan Plaza.

The building was renamed by its Chinese owners, the Fosun Group, which is also acquiring stakes in Ironshore.

Neil Goldmacher and Hal Stein of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented Ironshore in the deal for the third through fifth floors in the base of the 60-story building.

It’s likely its floors at One State Street will be up for sublease.

Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy previously picked up a five-year option for 369,588 feet at 28 Liberty.

JLL represents Fosun, which is redeveloping the white tower and its stark plaza.

Neither JLL nor Newmark returned requests for comment.
