Larry Gluck bought the Windermere Hotel on the Upper West Side yesterday for $68 million.

The 23-story apartment hotel with 374 units had been in the Zarucki family since 1973, when the Holocaust survivors bought it.

There is currently a mix of market rate and stabilized hotel rooms, with no more transient guests allowed after yesterday’s closing, Gluck said.

While the closing was made on the Jewish lucky 18th day of the month, the 666 West End Ave. address may still be changed, Gluck said, due to the devilish numbers.

Supplying financing for the deal is a group led by Signature Bank for over $50 million.

Ryan Jackson, a vice president with Gluck’s Stellar Management, said they will add another $10 million in building upgrades and modernization.

Gluck said they will maintain the building as a “Class A rental” and add a full amenity package, including wireless Internet, a gym, lobby lounge and roofdeck.

“It will be a mix of pre-war grandeur and modern technology,” he said of the 1920s building.

The project is being designed by a joint venture of n+Architecture and RSVP Architecture Studio, both of Brooklyn.

Alan R. Grossman of ARG Realty Consultants said he had Gluck in mind as a buyer when they played a round together at a Long Island golf outing this past summer.

Once Grossman made his pitch at the 11th hole, they never completed the game, as Gluck jumped on the phone to pursue the deal.
