When a new Starbucks opens next month on East 42nd Street, it will be serving up java next to North Fork Bank tellers.
The store will become the first latte-and-loan spot in the city, and perhaps the entire country.
The duo is coming together because the building’s owner, SL Green Realty, didn’t want to divide the 5,500-square-foot space that the bank wanted for its branch.
