The Durst real-estate family is thrilled to bid adieu to their black-sheep, cross-dressing brother.

One, it will be easier for them to do business. And two, they won’t have to sell any of their buildings to pay admitted butcher Robert Durst the $65 million he’s getting in return for severing family ties, sources said.

In a settlement reached Monday in Westchester County Surrogate’s Court, the family agreed to hand over the money and Durst, in turn, agreed to give up his share of a family trust that paid him $2 million a year.

He also agreed to drop a suit that could have resulted in the dismantling of the family’s billion-dollar real-estate empire.

“The family is happy to see him go,” a source said, admitting that family members are still scared of him.

Even though Durst admitted slicing up the body, he was acquitted of murdering his next-door neighbor in Galveston, Texas, in September 2001.
